Itinerary

  • Shared transfer from London Heathrow airport to the hotel. Accommodation and breakfast at the Royal National, President Hotel, or similar.

  • In the morning, we will take a panoramic coach tour of London, visiting the Westminster, Kensington, Mayfair, and Belgravia neighborhoods. Stops for photos include the Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the London Eye, Royal Albert Hall, and Albert Memorial. We will also see the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace (if operating that day). We will explore the West End (theater and restaurant district), Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square, and key cultural areas such as the Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Science Museum, and National Gallery. The tour ends at Buckingham Palace around 11:45 am, leaving the rest of the day free to explore more of this magnificent city.   • We begin our journey toward Cambridge, the quintessential university city, with a walking tour to admire architecture from different eras in its ancient colleges. Founded in 1209, it is the second oldest English-speaking university in the world and has had great minds like Isaac Newton, Stephen Hawking, and Charles Darwin pass through its halls. The university’s influence is felt throughout the city. We will pause for lunch before arriving at our final destination for the day, York. There, we will take a walking tour through its charming streets, including the popular Shambles street—a well-preserved medieval street with timber-framed buildings, once full of butcher shops. The street’s name comes from the Anglo-Saxon “fleshammels,” meaning “meat shelves.” Today, it is filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants and is said to have inspired Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter books and movies. We will also visit the splendid Gothic cathedral, the second largest in Northern Europe, famous for its beautiful stained glass and imposing towers.   • After breakfast, we head to Durham for a brief walking visit to its captivating cathedral, a masterpiece of Norman architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site, dominating the city from atop a hill. We continue north for a panoramic view of Alnwick Castle, a fortress with over 700 years of history, the official residence of the Dukes of Northumberland, and a filming location for movies such as “Harry Potter,” “Elizabeth,” and “Robin Hood.” After time for lunch, we proceed to the coast and arrive in Edinburgh, where we will do a brief panoramic tour to introduce this illustrious city.   • A relaxed day to explore historic Edinburgh at your own pace. Walk the famous Royal Mile, the avenue connecting Edinburgh Castle with Holyrood Palace. Visit St. Giles Cathedral, home to the Crown of Scotland and the Stone of Destiny. Explore the National Gallery of Scotland or the Royal Yacht Britannia, the former official residence of the British Royal Family. Edinburgh is the second most visited city in the UK after London and houses the Scottish Parliament since 1999. Don’t miss its impressive building and relax in the Princess Street Gardens.   • Leaving Edinburgh, we travel through splendid landscapes and picturesque villages like Stirling and Callander. We will ascend mountain passes with panoramic views, stopping to visit a whisky distillery in the area to learn the production process from grain selection to oak barrel maturation. Then, lunch at the Trossachs National Park, a nature oasis in the heart of Scotland. Finally, arrive in Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city. A panoramic tour will showcase its Victorian architecture and unique charm. Nicknamed “Glasvegas,” the city offers a perfect blend of culture, shopping, gastronomy, and nightlife. We will visit its green spaces, the famous Buchanan Street for shopping, and the Cathedral before reaching the hotel.   • From Glasgow, we board a ferry crossing Irish waters to Belfast, Northern Ireland’s capital. We will take a panoramic tour exploring the city’s past and present, learning the story behind the nicknames “David and Goliath,” admiring Cave Hill mountain that inspired Jonathan Swift’s “Gulliver’s Travels,” and viewing murals reflecting the Protestant and Catholic neighborhoods. Visit the Titanic Quarter with free time for lunch and exploration. Then, we travel to the Mourne Mountains and finally reach Dublin, the capital of the Republic of Ireland. A panoramic tour highlights main attractions: Customs House, Dublin Castle, Phoenix Park, and colorful city doors. We also see Trinity College and St. Patrick’s Protestant Cathedral.   • After breakfast, we travel west. First stop is Clonmacnoise Monastery, a 4th-century monastic complex founded by St. Ciaran, located beside the Shannon River. We will admire the architecture and history, including tombs of important Celtic kings. Next, Athlone, with free time for lunch and exploring its medieval streets. In the afternoon, arrive in Galway, known as the “City of Tribes.” We will take a walking tour of key sites such as the Spanish Arch, Protestant Church, and Lynch Castle. Learn about the origins of famous Irish pubs and visit the Catholic Cathedral, the newest in Ireland (built 1965). Galway’s special atmosphere invites you to stay longer. Time to explore the city or shop for Irish products, clothing, and souvenirs. Dinner, accommodation, and breakfast at Connacht, Shannon Spring Hotel, Lough Rea Hotel & Spa, or similar.

  • After breakfast, depart Galway heading south. We cross “The Burren,” a vast limestone landscape protected by UNESCO, extending to the Atlantic Ocean. Its Gaelic name means “Rocky Land,” fitting its rugged terrain. At the Cliffs of Moher, we will be awed by their 200-meter height and 8-kilometer stretch, offering unmatched feelings of freedom and connection with nature. Visit the visitor center, then continue to Limerick with free time for lunch by the Shannon River. After lunch, travel to Cork, known as the “Golden Vale.” This region boasts spectacular landscapes, cultural and gastronomic wealth, and a rich historical heritage. Barley production made Cork a top whiskey producer in Ireland. A panoramic city tour includes St. Anne’s Shandon Church (famous for its leaning bell tower), the “Clock of the Lie,” and St. Finbar’s Protestant Cathedral. Discover that Cork, like Venice, is built on water and hosts one of the largest commercial ports in the world.   • After breakfast, head to the Rock of Cashel, a massive fortress rising over the Irish plains. Built before the Norman invasion, it was ceded to ecclesiastical power and linked to the legends of St. Patrick, Ireland’s patron saint. In 1647, Oliver Cromwell’s troops massacred 3,000 people here. Free time to photograph the fortress and stroll its medieval streets to absorb the unique atmosphere. Continue to Dublin for lunch and the afternoon free to enjoy this cosmopolitan city. Dublin offers diverse activities: museums, art galleries, lively streets, and vibrant nightlife. This is the last chance on the tour to shop for Irish products such as crafts, clothing, books, and of course, whiskey.   • In the morning, depart Dublin port and ferry across the Irish Sea to Wales. Arrive at the beautiful medieval town of Conwy, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Opportunity to visit its splendid castle (optional), a medieval fortress with 22 towers and high walls built by King Edward I between 1283–1289. Free time for lunch, explore the harbor, and admire Elizabethan architecture before continuing to Liverpool. There, take a panoramic tour. Liverpool is the birthplace of the famous rock band The Beatles and was European Capital of Culture in 2008. It also has one of the largest ports in England. At night, visit the iconic Cavern Club, where The Beatles and other rock legends performed.   • Our last day takes us to Stratford-Upon-Avon, a charming town on the banks of the Avon River and birthplace of playwright William Shakespeare. Brief panoramic tour and free time for lunch. Walking tour to admire its magnificent colleges such as Christ Church, Magdalen, and Trinity College. Return to London by 6:00 pm.   • After breakfast, an assistant will accompany you on an exciting journey through the English Channel, crossing the Eurotunnel (the impressive underwater connection between England and continental Europe) toward Paris, the French capital.   • Breakfast and a half-day panoramic tour of the main points of interest. Paris, the capital of France, is a vibrant city full of history. Known as the City of Light, it is famous for its iconic architecture, exquisite gastronomy, and romantic atmosphere. Among its most significant historical events is the French Revolution, which began with the storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789. This event marked the start of profound political and social changes in France. During the Belle Époque, the city became a center of creativity, attracting artists like Pablo Picasso and writers like Ernest Hemingway. Additionally, the construction of the Eiffel Tower in 1889 symbolized the progress and modernity of the era. Don’t miss iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and the Arc de Triomphe.   • After breakfast, we will set out for the Champagne region, famous for its wine tradition and rolling landscapes full of vineyards. Our first stop will be Épernay, considered the capital of champagne, where we will tour the emblematic Avenue de Champagne, one of the most prestigious streets in the world. Here you will find historic producers like Moët & Chandon and Perrier-Jouët, whose elegant mansions reflect the prestige of this beverage. We will continue to Hautvillers, a picturesque village with medieval charm and the birthplace of champagne history. Dom Pérignon, the Benedictine monk who perfected the champagne production method in the 17th century, lived here. A walk through its streets will allow us to discover its abbey and admire the surrounding vineyards. Afterwards, we will arrive in Reims, a city that combines elegance and historical significance. We will do a panoramic tour to see its impressive Notre-Dame Cathedral, where almost all the kings of France were crowned. Its majestic stained glass windows and Gothic architecture make it a must-see site. For a unique experience, we will enjoy a select tasting in the prestigious Champagne region, birthplace of the world’s finest sparkling wines.   • After breakfast, we will leave our hotel in Reims to head to Metz. This city has a rich medieval heritage and strong Germanic influence. Its Saint Stephen Cathedral is famous for its stunning stained glass windows, some designed by Marc Chagall. Metz also houses the Pompidou-Metz Center, a contemporary art museum reflecting the city’s modernity. Its history intertwines with Germany’s, as it was part of the German Empire between 1871 and 1918. We will have free time for lunch and to savor the local cuisine. Our next and last stop today will be Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace and seat of the European Parliament. We will take a walking tour to admire the majestic Strasbourg Notre-Dame Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece that, with its impressive 142-meter spire, was the tallest building in the world between 1647 and 1874. Its astronomical clock, an engineering marvel, continues to fascinate visitors with its complex mechanics and parade of figures. The Petite France neighborhood is a charming area with timber-framed houses and picturesque canals. The city is famous for its Alsatian cuisine, especially choucroute and flammekueche.   • After breakfast, we will leave Strasbourg to arrive at our first stop, the Alsatian city of Colmar. This medieval jewel, close to the German border and capital of the Haut-Rhin department, is known for its colorful façades and timber framing that weave a story of captivating beauty and tradition. We will take a short tour of Little Venice, a neighborhood with charming canals reminiscent of the Italian city. The Cathedral Square is the perfect spot for a photo and to soak up the local atmosphere. Next, we will travel to Besançon, famous for its military and cultural history. We will enjoy a panoramic view of the Besançon Citadel, designed by Vauban. Here we will stop for lunch before continuing the journey. Afterwards, we will head to Macon, where we will make a brief stop to explore its old town, admire its colorful façades, and feel the essence of the city. Finally, we will arrive in Lyon, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy the city’s nightlife by exploring its historic streets or relaxing before resting at our hotel.   • After breakfast, we will start the day exploring Place des Terreaux, home to the impressive Bartholdi Fountain and the majestic Lyon City Hall. Then, we will tour Vieux Lyon, the Renaissance district with its emblematic traboules—secret passageways that connect streets and historic buildings full of charm. We will ascend to the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière, from where we can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the city and surroundings. After the morning visit, we will have free time for lunch and to explore Lyon at your own pace. For a cultural experience, you can visit the Museum of Confluences, a fascinating space of natural history and anthropology; stroll along the Rhône riverbank; discover local shops on Rue de la République; or relax in Parc de la Tête d'Or, the largest park in the city. Place Bellecour, one of Lyon’s central points, will be an excellent spot to find a good place to dine and enjoy local specialties such as quenelle (a kind of French dumpling made with fish, meat, or poultry, usually served with sauce) and coq au vin (a stew of chicken slowly cooked in red wine, with bacon, mushrooms, and onions) before ending the day.   • After breakfast, we will depart by bus toward Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, famous for its gastronomy and historical heritage. We will do a panoramic tour of the city, passing by the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy, an architectural emblem of the region. Don’t forget to try the famous Dijon mustard in a local shop, a specialty that has gained international fame. We will continue to Fontainebleau, where we will visit one of the most imposing castles in France. With more than 1,500 rooms and surrounded by spectacular gardens, the Château de Fontainebleau has been the residence of French monarchs for centuries. From Francis I, who transformed the castle into a Renaissance palace, to Henry IV, who promoted its splendor, passing through Louis XIII, Louis XIV, and Napoleon I, who left his mark with the only Napoleonic throne room that still exists. The entrance allows us to explore its impressive salons, the Gallery of Francis I, the Chapel of the Trinity, and Napoleon’s magnificent apartments.   • Due to the Annual Labour Party Conference in Liverpool, the tour hotel may be changed to Manchester or surrounding areas if hotel demand requires it. This event usually takes place in September.
  • UK CITY TAX: Starting from June 2025 in Liverpool and from 2026 in Edinburgh, a local tourist tax (levy) may be applied to support city infrastructure and services. This cost will be covered exclusively by Anglovision in both cases.
